While the game is meant to be spooky, it is never too scary for the intended audience of elementary school children. There are secret passageways, and framed pictures of cats whose tails swish as you go by. Based on the I Spy book series, this board game requires players to make their way through the Spooky Mansion on a 3D. Doors rattle and rugs on the floor seem to have a mind of their own. I can only assume it is because i have not played the game (red board) on. This game creates a fun, eerie atmosphere in several clever ways. I am unable to locate the last piece of the puzzle in the first part of the game. Some of the minigames are tests of logic including devising a path across a board game to collect ghosts in a limited number of moves. Other interactive games make great use of the motion controls of the Wii so that kids may have to make a circular motion as if they were sharpening a pencil or flip the Wii remote to shoot flies into a frog's mouth. The cups will quickly change positions and you are tasked with following the teacup hiding the eye. Selecting it triggers a classic "shell" game where three tea cups are flipped over with one covering the eye. Play I SPY in a Spooky 3D Mansion Players make their way through the Spooky Mansion, spotting objects among the mysterious contents and collecting keys to the mansion. While puzzling out which objects relate to the riddle is enjoyable, discovering the hidden minigames within these riddle settings is even more fun.
